This is our 4 paddle, free travel, Spicer design clutch kit that is available in four different types of materials according to customer's needs: Clutchtex Kevlar®, S K Wellman's Extreme (Kevlar® & carbon fiber), S K Wellman's Carbotic or the Meba Ceramic. This style of clutch disk has proven itself in the semi's for the past 20 years. This clutch disk is designed to absorb the vibrations of the diesel and gives the capability of hauling heavy loads without causing premature disk failure. The OEM Valeo disk has a tendency to throw the dampening springs as shown on the Ford Catalog page. This disk, with our modified Valeo pressure plate, bolts directly to the OEM solid flywheel and will handle 400 hp and 900 ft. lbs. of torque.

Choosing Materials

The combination of materials that have proven themselves over time is to combine the Kevlar® and carbotic to create a dual friction. We apply the Kevlar® material to the pressure plate side and the carbotic material to the flywheel side of the clutch disk. Of course, any of the materials can be used, it is your choice.

Our preferred part number is MU 1939 DF. The clutch package can be supplied with the updated clutch fork and pivot.

for all 7.3 Ford diesels '98 - 2002. 

Con O stands for performance Organic linings,
OFE stands for a combination of Organic & Feramic linings,
FE stands for all Feramic linings on the clutch disk.
The pressure plates have been modified for a higher plate load.

All clutch kits include everything needed to do the job including our Kevlar® pilot bushing.
